POWER INSIGHTS

TRAINING FOR EXPLOSIVE POWER

TRAINING FOR EXPLOSIVE POWER

Power isn’t just strength.

It’s how fast you can use it.

You don’t need to be the biggest guy on the range — you need to be the most efficient.

1. TRAIN FAST, NOT JUST HEAVY

Lifting heavy has its place.

But power comes from speed.

Add:

  • Jump squats
  • Medicine ball throws
  • Sprint work

Move fast, not just hard.

2. ROTATION IS EVERYTHING

Golf is a rotational sport.

If you’re not training rotation, you’re missing the point.

Focus on:

  • Core twists
  • Cable rotations
  • Medicine ball slams

This is where distance is built.

3. RECOVER PROPERLY

You don’t build power by smashing yourself every day.

You build it by:

  • Training hard
  • Recovering properly
  • Repeating consistently

Burnout kills performance.

4. KEEP IT SIMPLE

You don’t need a complicated program.

You need:

  • Consistency
  • Intent
  • Effort

Do the basics well, over and over.

FINAL THOUGHT

Explosive power isn’t talent.

It’s built.

And it’s built by people willing to train when others don’t.
